Switch board lubrication.

WHITMORE EZ Switch® lubricant has been standing out as a product for rail track modifiers. Easy to apply, it forms a protective layer on the Switch board (rail modifiers), which resists rain and reduces wear.

After application, the lubricant EZ Switch® starts to dry. Switch operation will distribute the product, as during Switch operation, the film becomes denser in the contact areas, improving wear protection.

EZ Switch® can be used on all types of Railroad Switches, both manual and electrical. It can be applied by oil, brush or spray. Coat the needle with a very thin layer of lubricant. It can also be applied to wet needles and is not washable in rain. As EZ Switch® dries it becomes more and more resistant to rain.

LUBRICATION FREQUENCY:

With EZ Switch® lubricant, a needle that operates with a bent frequency does not necessarily need to be double lubricated. Due to climatic and operational variations, it is practically impossible to indicate a lubrication frequency applicable to all situations.

• A good way to start is to lubricate all the needles, and inspect them after a week.
• Those that are operated more frequently, or subjected to more critical conditions, may require lubrication after a week.
• In extreme cases, more than one weekly lubrication may be required.
• In most situations, little used needles will have lubrication cycles longer than a week.
• Most operators recommend that the longest lubrication interval be no more than one month on little used needles.
