The refrigeration compressor oil is based on very low sludge naphthenic oil, for use where a non-inhibitory oil is required. It is recommended for use in refrigeration compressors using ammonia, CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) refrigerants such as R-11, R-12, R-13, R-113, R-114, R-115, R- 22, R-123, R-141b, R-142b, R-717, R-500, R-501 and R-502.

Not recommended for use with HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) refrigerants such as HFC-134a (R-134a ) Whitmore refrigeration compressor oil is recommended for systems where the evaporator temperature ranges down to approximately -37 °C.
