The BioSwitch™ protects the Switch (Rail Change Plates) from wear by providing a protective layer of lubricant. After application, the lubricant must dry on the plate, although it retains some moisture it will not turn to dust.
As the Switch works, the lubricant comes out and the protective coating becomes denser near the contact area, this dense layer is non-sticky and does not attract dirt.
BioSwitch™ is biodegradable according to the “Modified Sturm” test and also certified by the USDA as “biobased”, “hasearned” and “BioPreferred”.
