High performance grease for curved rails.
BioRail® is a high-performance curved rail grease. It is formulated with 100% biodegradable vegetable oils.
Lubrication systems, on the side of the rails, apply the BioRail® in the form of a vertical drop easily collected by the wheels, it is carried through several curves and forms a layer on the side of the rail being clearly visible on inspections. In many cases the BioRail® results in less grease consumption.
BioRail® is evenly depleted from the reservoir, without making a central “V”-shaped depression. This reduces cavitation in the pump. Unlike other vegetable oil-based products, BioRail® does not gel over time and remains pumpable without obstructing the pump outlets.
BioRail® has been extensively tested on Class 1 freight railways in the United States, which represent the harshest loading conditions in the world. Field experience has shown that distribution, track coating and level of wear protection are equal to Whitmore® non-biodegradable greases.
BioRail® has received USDA certification as “bio-based” and the designation of “BioPreferred”.
